The vehicleStart with the vehicle and its gross vehicle weight: light duty (14,000 lbs or less), medium duty (14,001 to 26,000 lbs) or heavy duty (26,001 lbs or more).
The heaviest loadAdd the cargo with its packaging, the pallet, the pallet jack or other handling device, and the driver or drivers. Pick a gate rated for the heaviest total.
The rideStandard ride is for loads that sit stable on the platform. Level ramping makes pallet jacks and wheeled carts easy to roll on and off. Level ride is for high or tall carts and loads.
The bed heightMeasure it unladen for the maximum and loaded for the minimum. Palfinger's bed height ranges work the same way: min = loaded, max = unloaded.

Which liftgate brands does TKSE sell?

Do you install and service liftgates?

Yes. Liftgate installation and service are on TKSE's service menu at all seven shops, and TKSE services every make, including gates it doesn't sell. For Leyman, TKSE also does warranty work, and its parts department carries Leyman items and accessories.

How much lifting capacity do I need?

Add up the cargo with its packaging, the pallet, the pallet jack or other handling device, and the driver or drivers. Choose a gate rated for the heaviest total you'll lift.

What are the main types of liftgate?

A cantilever is a stable, level platform that tilts for easy loading and unloading. A column lift is ideal for high-volume loading and heavy-duty applications. A slider mounts beneath the truck bed and slides out when needed. Folding gates fold away for compact storage: on a Maxon Tuk-A-Way, the platform can fold and stow under the truck body in the dock-ready position.

Can I get liftgate parts?

Yes, for every make, including gates TKSE doesn't sell. Its parts department also carries items and accessories for Leyman gates. Call your shop's counter with the make and model, or send a parts request.
