The T-690 and T-690 MAX are self-powered, diesel refrigeration units for straight trucks, two of the eight models in Thermo King's T-90 Series. Both mount on the front of the cargo box. MAX adds larger coils and heat exchangers, optimized compressor and engine speeds, and a sound-reduction kit.
Sized for straight trucks.
What Thermo King built into the T-90 Series, from the coils to the controller.
More capacity.
Thermo King redesigned the coils and the engine management for the T-90 Series, for up to 35 percent more capacity. The T-690 and T-690 MAX run the X-214 reciprocating compressor, which Thermo King designs and builds.
- The T-690 MAX adds larger coils and heat exchangers, optimized compressor and engine speeds, and a sound-reduction kit
- Faster pull-down, faster recovery after door openings, less fuel burned and fewer engine run hours
2,000 hours between services.
The maintenance interval for the T-690 and T-690 MAX is 2,000 hours, the longest in the industry. Longer intervals cut downtime and costs.
Plug in when you're parked.
With the SmartPower electric standby option, the unit runs on electric power while the truck is stationary. That saves fuel, reduces engine wear and decreases emissions. It can cut fuel costs by up to 75%.
- SmartPower in 230V and 460V versions
- Standby motor rated 7.2 hp
- Electric heat, on SmartPower units only
Faster to temperature.
The T-90's controller uses Thermo King's QuickTemp technology. In laboratory application tests against the competition, T-90 units pulled down and recovered up to 30 percent faster, used up to 35 percent less fuel and ran the engine up to 25 percent less.
A controller made for drivers.
