The e1000 is Thermo King's all-electric refrigeration unit for Class 5–7 battery-electric box trucks, part of its evolve portfolio. It runs from a direct DC connection to the truck's battery pack, supports boxes from 16 to 28 feet with fresh and frozen setpoints, and it meets regulations for zero emissions, including CARB.

Runs on the truck's battery.

How the e1000 works with an electric chassis.

Powered by the truck.

A technician working on the side of a Thermo King e1000 unit

The e1000 runs from a direct DC connection to the truck's own battery pack and only asks for power when it needs it. It has minimal impact on the truck's range, and cooling continues while the truck charges.

  • 400 Vdc nominal supply on the Freightliner eM2 version; 800 Vdc on the International eMV version
  • Variable speed scroll compressor and fans
  • Electric heat and defrost

Made for two electric trucks.

The e1000 comes in versions for the International eMV and the Freightliner eM2 electric box trucks, each with its own order code and electric power takeoff (ePTO) connection. It mounts on the front of the cargo box, with the evaporator inside.

No diesel to run.

The e1000 has no diesel fuel costs and needs less maintenance than diesel equivalents. It makes less sound and vibration than equivalent capacity diesel units, it's lighter than equivalent diesel units, and it uses lower global warming potential R-452A refrigerant.

Telematics from day one.

The e1000 ships with TracKing telematics hardware installed and ready to turn on. It supports energy consumption reports and over-the-air updates.
