Why the E-200e

  • More cooling, more air

5,500 BTU/hr at a 35°F box and 600 CFM of airflow, for delivery routes with more thermal demand than the E-100e is built for.

  • Vans through Class 3–4

It is compatible with a wide range of vans, light commercial vehicles and Class 3–4 trucks, so one unit covers a mixed small-vehicle fleet.

  • Runs on battery or engine power

It runs on battery-electric power, or mounts on an internal combustion engine chassis with a charging power source, with consistent capacity either way.

  • Built to stay out of the shop

VLL fans and a scroll compressor are chosen for longer unit life, lower maintenance and more uptime.

  • Rapid pull-down

Rapid pull-down and efficient temperature control with robust components, which is what urban stop-and-go routes ask for.

  • Fresh and frozen on one unit

A setpoint range from -4°F to 68°F carries chilled and frozen products across a range of route conditions.

Overview

  • 600CFMEvaporator airflow, ES100 evaporator

The E-200e is the larger of Thermo King's two all-electric truck and van units, for vans, light commercial vehicles and Class 3–4 trucks that need more cooling and airflow than the E-100e delivers. Thermo King proved it in Europe before bringing it to North America in 2026. It runs on battery-electric power or on an internal combustion engine chassis with a charging power source.

What the E-200e adds over the E-100e.

More capacity where routes demand it.

The E-200e delivers 5,500 BTU/hr of net cooling at a 35°F box and 3,200 at 0°F, both at 100°F ambient, with 600 CFM of evaporator airflow. That is the unit to reach for when the box is bigger, the doors open more often, or the route runs through a Florida afternoon.

  • Rooftop or nose-mount, for different body configurations
  • Setpoint range from -4°F to 68°F

Battery or engine. Same capacity.

The E-200e runs on battery-electric power, or it mounts on an internal combustion engine chassis with a charging power source. Thermo King's point about this one is consistency: the flexibility is there so capacity holds steady for day-to-day operations whichever chassis it sits on.

Chosen to last.

An all-aluminum frame boosts durability and system reliability while enabling higher payloads per delivery. A simplified, compact design with fewer moving parts makes maintenance easier, and VLL fans with a scroll compressor are specified for longer unit life, lower maintenance cost and more uptime. Inverter technology varies compressor speed to match cooling demand, and reverse cycle handles cooling, heating and defrost.

Questions

About the E-200e. Anything else, call your shop.

What vehicles does the E-200e fit?

Thermo King builds it for a wide range of vans, light commercial vehicles and Class 3–4 trucks, including electric van conversions and engine-driven platforms.

How much more capacity than the E-100e?

5,500 BTU/hr against 3,500 at a 35°F box, and 3,200 against 1,400 at 0°F, both at 100°F ambient. Airflow is 600 CFM against 560.

Does it need a battery-electric vehicle?

No. It runs on battery-electric power, or it mounts on an internal combustion engine chassis with a charging power source.

Can it carry frozen loads?

Yes. The setpoint range runs from -4°F to 68°F, and net cooling at a 0°F box is 3,200 BTU/hr at 100°F ambient.

Is it new to North America?

Yes. Thermo King ran it in Europe first and brought it to North America in 2026. Call your shop to talk through fitment on your vehicle.
