The C-600M is the cost-effective way to take advantage of the Precedent platform, for retailers and distributors outside California. Beginning with model year 2023, it is not compliant for operation in the state of California. It runs two or three zones with remote evaporators and complies with the highest possible EPA standards for engines under 25 HP (Tier IV).

Thermo King made the C-600M for retailers and distributors outside California who need a reliable multi-temp unit. From model year 2023 it is for operation outside California, and it complies with the highest possible EPA standards for engines under 25 HP (Tier IV). For fleets that haul in California, the pick is the S-610M or S-610DE.

Two or three zones.
Thermo King designs its multi-temp systems to control two or three compartments, and any compartment can be set at any temperature. On the C-600M, the host unit's evaporator controls zone 1 and a ceiling-mounted remote evaporator controls zone 2; a three-zone trailer adds remote evaporators for zone 3.

Walls between the zones.
Insulated bulkheads separate a multi-temp trailer into zones, each with its own setpoint. Thermo King's PrimAir insulated bulkheads enable consistent temperature zones, and a multiple-compartment trailer should have a center bulkhead with tight air seals. To haul one temperature, move the dividing walls to make one compartment; with Single Zone Control enabled, every zone runs to the same setpoint.

Can I run the C-600M in California?
No. Beginning with model year 2023, it is not compliant for operation in the state of California. For California, the pick for multi-temp fleets is the S-610M or S-610DE.
How many temperature zones can it run?
Two or three. The host unit's evaporator controls zone 1 and a remote evaporator controls zone 2; a three-zone setup adds remote evaporators. Thermo King's multi-temp platform supports up to four remote evaporators.
What engine does it use?
A four-cylinder, direct-injection, liquid-cooled TK486V25L, rated 24.0 HP at 2,200 RPM. The C-600M complies with the highest possible EPA standards for engines under 25 HP (Tier IV).
Can it run on electric standby?
As an option. SmartPower electric standby comes in standard and high output (HO) versions, with 230-volt and 460-volt three-phase motors. On electric power the C-600M is rated at 44,000 BTU/hr at 35°F; ask your shop for the performance of a specific option.
What refrigerant does it use?
R452A, with a charge of about 17 lbs. It reduces the carbon footprint of refrigerants used by fleets by nearly 50%.
Is telematics included?
Yes. Every C-600M is factory equipped with 24 months of complimentary TracKing telematics.
How often does it need service?
The maintenance interval is 3,000 hours, and 4,000-hour severe duty fuel filtration is standard. The 1,500-, 3,000-, and 4,500-hour/annual inspections should be performed by an authorized Thermo King dealer. TKSE is one, with factory-trained technicians at seven shops in Florida, Georgia, and Mississippi.
Can a multi-temp trailer haul a single-temperature load?
Yes. Reposition the dividing walls to make one large compartment; with Single Zone Control enabled, all zones run to the same setpoint.
