TracKing comes standard.
TracKing is the core telematics package: real-time cargo traceability and asset monitoring to maximize uptime, optimize fuel usage and meet compliance needs. It includes the fleet performance dashboard, readiness score dashboard, fuel and maintenance reporting, and full remote control of the fleet.

From bumper to reefer.
TracKing Smart Trailer reads sensors and cameras across a Class 8 trailer through a smart IoT gateway. Paired with TracKing Pro, it covers the trailer, the cargo and the reefer in one platform.

The ROC adds Thermo King professionals to TracKing Pro. They diagnose alarms, assign criticality and tell you what to do next, and smart routing sends drivers to the closest dealership with the time, parts and qualified labor to do the work.

Does TracKing come with a new Thermo King unit?
Thermo King includes a complimentary 24-month TracKing subscription with all new APU, trailer and large truck units, and 48 months with the e1000. It comes on Precedent trailer units, the Heat King 450 and the 3rd Generation TriPac. The UT-1290 doesn't have telematics.
What happens when the complimentary period ends?
You choose whether to keep going. ConnectedSuite offerings need a monthly subscription, and Thermo King offers five service levels so you pay only for what you need. Call your shop to pick one.
What does TracKing Pro add?
Diagnostics downloads, an energy usage dashboard (Precedent units only), benchmark analytics (large truck and trailer units), predictive alert notifications (trailer units) and alarm triage insights (trailer units).
What is the Remote Operating Center?
Thermo King's own monitoring service. It includes TracKing Pro, and Thermo King professionals diagnose alarms, assign criticality and guide the response. It adds smart routing to the closest qualified dealership and warranty coverage for predicted failures.
Can I add TracKing to an older unit?
Often, yes. TracKing kits are available for many older trailer units (SB, SL and Precedent), earlier T-Series truck units, the Heat King 430 and 450, and 3rd Gen TriPac units built without factory telematics. The APU kit isn't backwards compatible with older APU models.
Is there an app?
Yes. The Thermo King Connect app for Android and iOS shows unit location, temperatures, alarms, door status and fuel level, sends two-way commands, and finds the closest Thermo King dealer.
Does TracKing work on a TriPac APU?
Yes, on the 3rd Generation TriPac: run hours, cabin temperatures, alarms, maintenance reminders and runtime by state for fuel tax reporting, plus an API for integrating with existing fleet management software.
