What is a microchannel condenser coil?
Thermo King introduced microchannel condenser coils for truck and trailer units. They provide superior heat exchange along with increased fuel efficiency, a reduced lifetime cost of ownership and improved reliability for greater uptime, as compared to trailer refrigeration units equipped with tube-and-fin condenser coils.
Is a microchannel coil easier to clean?
Yes. It takes the same cleaning process as a tube-and-fin coil, in as little as one third of the time, and there's less chance of damaging the fins.
Which coil does my unit take?
Send the unit model and serial number, and the counter will match the coil. A coil replacement is also shop work: ask your shop to quote the job.
